Bashir's embattled supporters fight back amid purge plans
Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok and his new interior minister are attempting to launch a purge of supporters of ousted president Omar al-Bashir, particularly in the army and security services. But they also have to put out a series of fires started by die-hard fans of the ancien régime.
