Army chief Chengriha calls for task force to draw up crisis exit strategy
Record numbers of voters stayed away from the 12 June general election, putting paid to Abdelmadjid Tebboune's rescue plans. Now army chief of staff Saïd Chengriha has instructed Gen Abdelaziz Medjahed to set up a committee of experts to deliver new proposals.
