GAC brings in leading French construction groups
Emirati group GAC is counting on Colas and its partners Leduc and NGE to advance construction of its bauxite mine in Boke.
Boasting one of the world's largest reserves of bauxite, the main source of aluminium, Guinea has become one of the leading global producers of the mineral. Its West African neighbours - Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Ghana and Mali - as well as Cameroon, Tanzania and other countries across the continent have begun to move in to the bauxite market.
