After his "victory" over P&ID, Abubakar Malami establishes himself as Buhari's anti-corruption supremo
Attorney General Abubakar Malami, who enjoys particularly close relations with President Buhari, has in less than 10 years become Nigeria's self-proclaimed champion in the battle against the misappropriation of public funds. His role in preventing oil company P&ID from seizing state assets worth $9bn has served as a springboard in this respect and helped him to sideline his main rival.
