Eni's secret plans for Baleine
Following the discovery, announced in September, of the Baleine deposit, Eni has been in touch with the Ivorian government to ensure both parties see eye to eye on the site's development. The Italian major intends to move full steam ahead so as to rapidly reach the plateau phase, much to the delight of President Ouattara.
