Since prime minister Hamed Bakayoko was evacuated to France on 18 February, his allies and associates have been phoning their contacts frantically to try to get news of him. The Ivorian presidency delayed making announcements to avoid disrupting the parliamentary election count but has now appointed two key presidency figures to take care of pressing government business.
