Accra delays sale of Chirano mine to Asante in hope of better deal
The Ghanaian authorities are financially backing the sale of the Chirano mine, which should foster the emergence of a mining champion in the Western North region. But talks have hit a stumbling block over the state's stake and royalties in Asante Gold once the transaction has been finalised.
